Day in Shoes

This morning the hubby and I went to the gym.  We lifted weights (legs today) and I started running again.  I can already tell my muscles are going to be very unhappy tomorrow.  And I totally want these shoes.

We ran errands.  Which requires comfy shoes in my book.  One of the errands was to Target, hence the red.

We played with puppies.  The hubby is teaching them to fetch.  Chalupah loves it.  Talullah is above such nonsense.  I'm trying to use logic to convince them to stop pooping in the house.  Puppy logic is not like our earth logic.

I did a little reading.  Not this book, but look at all those fun shoes.  Clearly I need to read this book.

I helped the hubby fill out some forms.  I hate forms.  After awhile they start looking like gobblydegook.

Sleepy now.  Good night.

Fruits, Veggies, and Sun

I woke up today in a surprisingly good mood.  It felt really good, and made for a lovely morning.  The hubby and I went for breakfast, and then headed out to the farmer's market for our weekly adventure of getting fruits and vegetables.  We juice a lot, so we buy a ridiculous amount of produce every week.  Which is good, because we get a crap-ton of good nutrients and it gets the hubby to actually ingest fruits and vegetables.  It was 80 degrees or so today (sorry, people who are still stuck in snow), and the sun was shining, so we had a great time walking around and hanging out.  In honor of a very good day, here are some very silly shoes.

These first 2 are different but very similar.  They are both crazy, but I think I want to wear them when I am old enough to be the nieces' crazy old auntie.

Peep toe plaid shoes with plastic fruit on them.  I like the plaid, but the fruit is a little too much, even for crazy old auntie mode.  Still crack me up, though.

Just when I think they can't get crazier...  This time I love the multicolored fabric.  I actually kind of like the aesthetic of the grape cluster heel, but only as shoe art and not an actual shoe.  Although I do live where there are lots of wineries...

Even pink, I kind of love these.  I wonder if they come in red?  They should since strawberries are red, but I would wear these in my more whimsical moods.

Awww...baby watermelon shoes!  They had adult ones, too, but these were way cuter.  And they remind of the watermelon bag at my grandma's house that held all of the barbie stuff.

Fruit shoes.  Way less nutritional than real fruit, but a lot more whimsical and whacky.

Dinos

Awwww...apparently it was dinosaur week at preschool this week.  I miss those little bundles of energy.  The Pinterest Friend, being an awesome teacher who does her research, also found me some dinosaur shoes.  I definitely think she needs a few of these for next year's dinosaur week!

Baby shoes are awesome.  I would wear them exclusively if they came in  my size...

These are interesting?  These would be perfect for a paleontologist going to a conference!

These remind me of the Lite Brite I used to play with as a kid.

Baby dinosaurs!  Wow, that Triceratops is fierce, no?

For the more subtle paleontologist, who doesn't wear heels.

For the bat-s--- crazy paleontologist.  What...why...I  am so confused.

Enjoy these fun/crazy dino shoes.  I'm thinking of going to bed at 8:00 tonight.  Woohoo Friday night!

Tie Dye

I cleaned both bathrooms today.  That might not sound like much, but for me it was a small victory.  I hate cleaning the bathroom on a good day (seriously, does anyone like getting down on their hands and knees to scrub up boy pee with bleach?!), but with my current lack of motivation I'm excited about getting anything done.   Since I can't celebrate with chocolate right now I'm going to celebrate with color.  I've already done rainbow shoes, so tonight we're going with tie dye.  I'm granola enough to admit that I love tie dye.  I used to wear tie dye, Birkenstocks, and not shave my legs for a year or more at a time.  Good times.  But back to the shoes!

More colorful options for staring at my feet while I'm at the gym...

These are awesome.  Definitely cheerful.

Oh my goodness, I seriously need to have a baby so I can make him or her wear tie dyed booties.

Love these.  Want them.

These aren't bad.  Actually a little too busy for me.  Maybe because of the  style of the shoe?  There's just something slightly off about these to me.

And yet they are a million kajillion times better than these.  Tie dye thigh highs with lucite heels.  Boots for the hippie stripper?

These are also horrible.  How can such fun tie dye go so terribly wrong???

Aaaahhhh...so very much better.  A nice soothing blue pair to take away the pain of the boots.  At least hopefully...I might still have nightmares about those suckers tonight.

Purple

I must be thinking about the BFF more than usual this week.  Last night it was Eeyore, and tonight it's purple.  But it's also Lent, and the color for Lent is purple.  Last year I posted purple shoes every Sunday, but since I've been on leave, I'm not color coordinating my shoes with the liturgical calendar.  Actually, I've only worn heels once since I went on leave.  I know.  Crazy, right?  Anyhoodle, tonight I'm thinking about purple.  These aren't my shoes, just fun purple shoes that I found.

Oooh, purple suede.  Simple and awesome.  And I like the lower heel.  No, really.

Crocheted purple shoes!  When I saw them in the thumbnail they almost looked like jelly shoes, but these are better.  So cute.

Purple sparkly with silver heels and ankle straps?  These would be awesome under my alb.

Purple sparkly t-straps!  But can I just say I'm getting tired of the hidden platform look?

I shouldn't like these.  But I do.  I shall discuss this at my next therapy session.

Love love love.  I would definitely wear these for Lent.  And other times as well.

Good night.  Dream of shoes in the color of your choice...

Eeyore

The BFF loves Eeyore, and I seem to be channeling him lately, so it seemed only appropriate to go find some shoes.

He really is awfully cute.  Plus, he's an introvert and so am I.

Sometimes he feels invisible.  Yep.  Happens to me occasionally.

Thankfully I don't have a tail that falls off on a regular basis.  But I do lose other things.

Eeyore has awesome friends who support him even when he's sad.  So do I.

I think Eeyore and I are soul mates right now.  If only I hadn't broken my adorable Eeyore mug several years ago, or I could drink out of it.  Guess I might have to get some comfy slippers instead.

What The ?

I came across this today:

I can barely roller skate on regular skates, but you know what would make it more fun?  Skates on stilettos!  You know I had to go look for more.

Same boot, but now we can see that they are over-the-knee boots. Because confining your knees always helps with balance!  You can also see that they aren't stilettos, but still don't look terribly safe.

These are for a slightly slutty car hop...?

These are either a vintage shoe made into a roller skate, or proof that people have been crazy for a very long time.  It could go either way, really.  I think for the foreseeable future I'm going to keep my heels and my skates separate, thank you very much.
