Warning: Randomness Ahead

So, in addition to being Epiphany apparently yesterday was also Bean Day (again I say, see?  Anything can be a holiday!).  But, I did think it was appropriate as all of yesterday's shoes were purple, which just happens to be The Bean's favorite color.  Even my random themes have subtext!

Side note:  Bear with me today, please.  It's an amazingly disappointing day and I'm trying to find joy any way possible.

Since January 6th is Bean Day and you should probably celebrate by eating lots of beans, apparently someone thought it would be appropriate for January 7th to be National Pass Gas Day.  Don't worry, there will be no shoes based upon this theme today.  Even I have SOME boundaries.

Ahem.  Anyway, before jumping to the shoes of the day, I just thought I'd direct your attention to some posts of the past.  January 7th is a day I've posted on every year since I started writing this blog.  2013 was a post that oddly enough has been getting spam comments in recent weeks and has been in the most popular post list over to the right of the screen.  Not sure why that is, but now I'm probably just making it worse by linking to it. 2014 was a day spent with nieces, so that's always a happy thing.  I wish today was also spent with nieces.  Last year's post made me giggle.  Talk about random.

And now for the last random part of this post.  Earrings!  For absolutely no reason except it popped in my head and I looked it up:

I've never really thought about shoe earrings before.  I suppose I would wear a pair if I had them.  These are sparkly, which is always a plus.

I think these are really cute.  I wouldn't wear pink high tops, but I would wear earrings in the shape of pink high tops.

I didn't want to leave you fleep flop lovers out.

I think these are adorable.  Hey, Mom...they aren't for pierced ears so even you could have shoe earrings!  You know, if you ever decide to wear earrings again.

A shoe, a sapphire, and an M.  Someone clearly designed this for me.

Wooden shoe earrings!  Is it weird that I also find these adorable.

Red is always fun.

So there you have it.  7 pairs of shoe earrings for the 7th day of January.  I hope your days is less disappointing, but not necessarily less random, than mine.

Not So Much Shoes

The Bean and I have a date to watch A Charlie Brown Thanksgiving, hopefully tomorrow.  I didn't watch The Great Pumpkin this year, so I must be better about my holiday Charlie Brown viewing.  Tonight's post is an homage to this great holiday classic:

Could someone please find these and send them to me by Thursday morning?  Thanks, that would be awesome.

I never paint my fingernails, but I might consider it for this.  Or I could do my toes this way, right?  But then no one would really see them.  Bummer.

These are cookies, people.  Cookies.  They're too pretty to eat!

This necklace kind of cracks me up.  It's cute, but I don't think it's the necklace for me.

Awwww...Pedro (or the PB) needs this!

Holy charm bracelet, Batman!  See?  It has the same charm as on the necklace above, but it makes a little more sense here.  Dang this thing is busy.  Not that I can say anything as I had to start a new charm bracelet because my first one was full.  (it's not Charlie Brown, though)

I need these by Thursday too, please.  I don't have any Thanksgiving earrings.  How sad is that?

Sorry about only 1 pair of shoes tonight, but it's not like there are a ton of this specifically themed shoes out there.  But in the spirit of Thanksgiving, I am grateful for these fun and silly objects to make me smile.  I'm also thankful for my nieces, but I don't seem to be doing so great at being auntie this trip home.  This was the one thing I always felt pretty good at, and now I'm screwing it up too.  Must. Do. Better.

PPR

I woke up this morning to a PPR:  A Puppy Panty Raid.  I must not have closed the bedroom door tightly enough because they managed to get in.  They aren't allowed in the bedroom unless we bring them in to snuggle on the bed.  So of course the bedroom is the place they most want to be.  Every time they manage to get in they get in the closet and have a heyday with the laundry basket.  But for some reason they only take my undies and the hubby's socks.  I refuse to think about that too deeply.  I've been finding socks all over the house today.

Since PPR doesn't really make for a good segue into shoes (I don't want to know what would come up if I typed that into a search engine).  SBP posted a picture last night that was so ridiculous I figured it needed to be in a post.  Since I had one, I decided to peruse the site for more.  Here are my random selections:

WTH?  Why?  The shoes themselves aren't bad, but what is up with the giant puff balls?  They are way too ridiculous.  On the other hand, you would always have something with you to buff your shoes if they get scuffed.

For my green friends.

Um...OK.  I'm all for color, but what is going on here?  These are hilarious.

More color.  I like these better than the top pair.  Definitely would have been in my color palette in the 90s.  I didn't really wear heels then, but I would have loved these.

I love both shoes and earrings, but please don't buy these for me.  A charm for my charm bracelet would be awesome, but I'm not so in to the earrings.  Although, sparkly!

More green.  There was very little blue, which stinks.

We started with WTH, so it seems appropriate to end with it.  Are these wedding shoes?  Are the heels leopard print?  You know how you're supposed to stop before leaving the house and take off one accessory?  These shoes need to adhere to that.  Way too much going on here.

Wow.  Early post today, are you impressed?

Advent 4

Sigh...today was the last Sunday of Advent, which means another 11 months until I get my favorite blue season back.  It also means that Christmas is right around the corner.  Eek!  Here are the last of the 4 Advent shoes:

I actually only wore these for the first service because I just wasn't feeling the heels this morning (I know...who AM I?)  I love the 2 shades of blue on these, and the strap across the foot.

The BSF gave these to me for Christmas this year.  Blue AND dragonflies.  She is awesome.

This is the scarf she gave me for Christmas 3 years ago (I think).  Did I mention she is awesome?

I preached today and taught Sunday School.  Tonight the hubby and I did night 2 of driving around and looking at Christmas lights.  One house was my absolute favorite, and the crazy people invited us in for a tour of the inside!  I think the hubby might be in love a little bit.  He was definitely coveting their decorations.  To be honest, I was coveting their amazing nativity myself.  Most of the big light houses are way too over the top for me.  I like a little more simplicity in my decorations.  Now I must finish laundry and go to bed.  Such is my exciting life.
