Happy Thanksiversary!

I hope you all had a wonderful turkey day, full of whatever makes you the happiest.  We had a quiet morning and then spent the afternoon with friends, so it was a very nice day.  I wore my turkey socks, as is only appropriate:

They were inside my boots, so no one actually saw them, but I knew they were there.

Speaking of turkeys, Double A lived up to her awesome nickname this week with her nails:

The kid's got talent, I tell you.  I can't even paint my nails in a solid color and have them look decent.  She painted a frickin' turkey on hers!

And now some shoes.

I love these three pairs as a set.  I would need three babies to wear them and be appropriately themed.  They could then sit in the middle of the table and be adorable, Thanksgiving centerpieces.

I need these to go with my turkey socks!

Today was not only Thanksgiving, but also my parents 49th wedding anniversary!  Yay, parents!  I looked it up, and the gift for the 49th anniversary is "luxury goods."  Hmmm...I don't think the parents got each other any luxury goods this year.  I typed in the phrase luxury shoes, though, and the first thing that came up was this:

Wow.  That is insane.  And ugly.  Does this say luxury to you?  Because it sure as heck does not say it to me.

I like these better, but they still look more cheap than luxurious to me.  What's up with that?

Huh.  These were labeled "diamante."  I should google that and see if it's something fancy, but I'm too full of turkey to go research.  I don't hate these, but I'm not fond of them, either.

Sparkly!  I don't know if these are luxurious necessarily, but I do love the sparkle.

Mom loves green, so I had to include some green luxury shoes for her.  I'm not sure what the detail on the back is, and would like them better without it, but these are pretty for the most part.

Even if your day didn't involve luxury items, I hope it involved loved ones in some way shape or form.  And dessert.

Happy Happy Turkey Day!

Happy Thanksgiving!  We had a wonderful day at the seester's house and the entire family was there!  Except for the silly hubby.  Silly hubby.  We missed him.  We skyped him, though, so that was fun.  Kind of wild with 5 nieces all trying to talk at once.  I'm now staying with the seester for almost a week, and Laughter has decided she is sleeping with me tonight, so I need to make this quick so she and I can go to bed.

Turkey shoes!  Apparently adults don't wear turkey shoes.  Which is just silly.  I'd totally wear those slippers, and the tennies with the orange ribbon laces!

Happy Thanksgiving to you and yours.

A Thanksgiving Ego Trip

A few days ago I posted about Thanksgiving Socks, and after that post the Pinterest Friend sent me a couple of related pins.  I was going to post them, but then the hubby's birthday and Batkid distracted me.  Yesterday I didn't post at all because we had a dinner party, which meant all day cleaning and cooking, and then of course the party itself. Which was actually quite lovely, but I was too tired after to do a post.   Anyhoodle, here we go:

Baby Turkey shoes!  These are really cute, and as they were on Pinterest, I'm sure someone made them.  Darn crafty people.

She then sent me these, with the caption, "hey, Pilgrim."  I'm assuming that's meant to be in a slightly dirty voice.  Which is disturbing and hilarious.  It's disturlious.  I really hope these are part of a costume.  That would be bad enough, but these definitely don't need to be out and about in the world of real shoes.

And finally these.  She said they first made her think of a baby Audrey Hepburn, and then me.  I realize she meant me because of this blog, but I've decided to take a little ego trip and pretend it's because I'm right up there with Audrey Hepburn in terms of class.    Oh yeah, delusions of grandeur abound.

Turkeeeees

We did our staff Christmas picture today.  There were 13 of us outside, dressed in red and black, and wearing a variety of Christmas hats.  As you probably know, I'm generally opposed to Christmas in November, except for things like this:  In order to get the church card done and sent out, we have to take the picture now.  I've also been making and shopping for Christmas presents, because they need to be mailed, and I need to get them done.  It still felt really weird to be wearing a Christmas hat.  The weather doesn't help as it's been in the mid 70s all week, which isn't even Fall weather, let alone Christmas weather.  OK, I've now used the word Christmas WAY too many times for this post.  We need some Thanksgiving up in this post!  On that note, I bring you socks:

These are adorable, and I would like a pair, please.  I really should figure out how to make the pictures on this blog actually materialize from my imaginary shoe closet.  That would be awesome.

I actually own these, and wore them yesterday.  I own 2 pairs, but haven't worn the second pair yet, and didn't find a picture when I was searching.

The turkey pair reminds me of a quilt.  Anyone out there who can quilt me a pair of socks?

Heehee.

These aren't overtly Thanksgiving, but they are Fall colors, and I love stripes, so there.
