Happy Halloween!
Some of us are in the spirit today:
Tallulah and I match!
I love this picture, from the sweater to the pose to the handsome dog.
Pedro McTate.
And, because it's a shoe blog, a couple of Halloween shoes (since I've already posted a bunch):
These just have a little bit of everything!
I like all of these, but as a set I really like them.
Happy Halloween! Be safe out there.

Continued
I have no idea where today went, but it whooshed by at a ridiculous speed. So now it's late and I'm going to do a quick post before I go to bed. I recently finished a blankie, shoes, and a hat for a friend of ours who is having a baby in October:
Pedro, as always, was my very helpful model for the hat. I love this yarn, it's really soft and nice. The fact that it's several shades of blue doesn't hurt, either. Since I did little girl shoes last night, I thought I'd do little boy shoes tonight. Plus, I made some little boy shoes, so there is a double tie-in.
For some reason I had trouble finding shoes I liked tonight. I really like all of these (especially the first 2), but I was hoping for a little more variety. Although I do have to say that the caterpillar (at least I think it's a caterpillar?) croc totally cracks me up. Or maybe it crocks me up. Ha! Yes, fine, I'm going to bed.

Big P, Little p, What Begins With P?
Yesterday a friend posted this on my facebook timeline:
Who wears pea pod flip flops? I'm not judging, just genuinely curious.
These are tiny, as evidenced by the penny at the bottom. I have no idea what these are for.
It's a "winged, purple dragon" and it's adorable and fierce. I'm just glad it's not real or we'd probably have to get 3 and then I'd be the mother of 6 dragons, 3 of which can fly. I'll stick with the beardies, thank you. But it did make me go look for purple dragon shoes:
This is a Disney ornament, which makes me like a lot better than when I thought it was an actual shoe. I'm not sure it's a shoe I want for my shoe tree, but I do like that the dragons go some love in the shoe/ornament department.
These I love. I might need some purple dragon tennies for days when I need a little extra confidence. Don't mess with me...I'm wearing my purple dragon tennies!
The Pinterest Friend also sent me a picture on Facebook yesterday, although of something I'd already seen as I'd made it. Here is Pedro modeling my newest newborn prop for the PF's photography business.
3 Peas in a pod! Or in this case, 3 peas and Pedro in a pod! I had extra green yarn after making Pedro's St. Patrick's day hat and had a pattern for this newborn prop. Pedro looks so cute in it I almost didn't send it to the PF. So of course I had to also go look for pea pod shoes:

In case the PB ever needs pea pod shoes.
I think that's enough P words for one day, don't you?

St. Patrick's Day
Happy St. Patrick's Day! I wore a green shirt today, wore my shamrock socks, and drank out of my shamrock mug. I also spent the day packing and moving, so I'm exhausted. Here are some St. Patrick's Day shoes from Zazzle:
And a silly cartoon!
And Pedro!
3 Things:
- SKD had come 2 nights in a row to help me with the packing and moving. She has a giant suburban, so we can haul way more stuff than I can in my car.
- I took the hubby's beloved, limited edition Mustang Mach 1 to the new house tonight and nothing happened to his baby. Thank the car gods.
- Progress, even though it doesn't look like I've done a darn thing. Even though the house looks like it has been hit by a tornado or a swarm of drunk toddlers.

Bunny Bragging
Apparently I'm ignoring Lent and going straight for Easter this year, but I can't wait any longer to show you these newborn props I made for JK Photography (AKA the Pinterest Friend). It was my first commissioned crochet project!
Doesn't Pedro make an adorable model? Not that you can see his cute face. The ears stand up better if I put the hat like that since his head is tiny. These were a lot of fun to make. There are a million and 7 mistakes, but I think they turned out fairly OK. I can't wait to see a newborn shoot done with them. I think Pedro needs his own hat in a smaller size. I might have to work on that this weekend. In the meantime, here are some pink and blue bunny inspired shoes:
Oh my goodness, it's a bunny wearing pink bunny slippers. I might have just died from cuteness.
How sweet are these? Simple, but also adorable.
I think these are really cute and really hilarious. They're also 381 freakin' dollars, which makes them absolutely ridiculous.
I wish the faces were a little different on these, and then I think they would be adorable.
Blue and turquoise bunny shoes! Yes, please.
See comment above.
Again with the face. These are cuter, but also a little scary? And those ankle straps seem way too big for the shoes. And I think those are doll shoes.
Ah, bunny shoes. I might need some for Easter. I should have thought of that while I was still in the parish.
3 Things:
- Being asked to make fun crochet projects.
- Doing my best (and sort of succeeding) not to freak out about the lack of perfection in that project.
- Getting several things accomplished today that took the amount of time they should have instead of 8 million times longer!

Happy 4th!
I hope you all had a fun, safe, and relaxing holiday. We did absolutely nothing but have a reality TV marathon, which was fine, but man do I miss our annual family reunion on Flathead Lake. One of these years I'm actually going to be able to take the hubby home for that. Oh well, we hung out with the puppies, who dressed up for the occasion:
Yes, I did make a paper hat and force them to wear it. The hubby says I need therapy, and he says the puppies are going to need therapy as well if I keep tormenting them with outfits.
Pedro also wore the hat, but here's a picture from earlier in the day with him in his flag shirt (which I made last year). He's sitting on the rug I crocheted from old t-shirts.
Our mantel is a little more festive than last year, but still not terribly exciting. Have I mentioned that my awesome mama made all of the wooden people you see on the mantel each month? So at least I always have something cute to start with.
Last one before the shoes. I used to do flags on my toes every year for the 4th, but I haven't done it the last several years, and I'm clearly out of practice. The right one looks like it was done by a blind, drunk toddler. But at least I tried to be festive.
OK, shoes. I love these.
And these. I could maybe even make a pair like this (although I doubt I could get my lines to go straight).
I have no idea what is happening here, but it frightens me.
Cute, but again, all you would see is a boring red strap once you put them on.
Damn. That is all.
Much better. I think this is quite cute.
Oh wow. Why oh why can't I get the hubby to wear crazy men's shoes?
Love love love, even with the stupid slingbacks.
I like these, too. Kind of crazy, but I think 4th of July is a holiday you can get away with slightly crazy-festive.
Ribbon laces! And adorable kiddo shoes.
Happy 4th, everyone. The puppies and I are worn out from all of the couch snuggling we did today while watching TV, so we're off to bed.
