Big P, Little p, What Begins With P?

Yesterday a friend posted this on my facebook timeline:

It's a "winged, purple dragon" and it's adorable and fierce.   I'm just glad it's not real or we'd probably have to get 3 and then I'd be the mother of 6 dragons, 3 of which can fly.  I'll stick with the beardies, thank you.  But it did make me go look for purple dragon shoes:

This is a Disney ornament, which makes me like a lot better than when I thought it was an actual shoe.  I'm not sure it's a shoe I want for my shoe tree, but I do like that the dragons go some love in the shoe/ornament department.

These I love.  I might need some purple dragon tennies for days when I need a little extra confidence.  Don't mess with me...I'm wearing my purple dragon tennies!

The Pinterest Friend also sent me a picture on Facebook yesterday, although of something I'd already seen as I'd made it.  Here is Pedro modeling my newest newborn prop for the PF's photography business.

3 Peas in a pod!  Or in this case, 3 peas and Pedro in a pod!  I had extra green yarn after making Pedro's St. Patrick's day hat and had a pattern for this newborn prop.  Pedro looks so cute in it I almost didn't send it to the PF.  So of course I had to also go look for pea pod shoes:

Who wears pea pod flip flops?  I'm not judging, just genuinely curious.

These are tiny, as evidenced by the penny at the bottom.  I have no idea what these are for.

In case the PB ever needs pea pod shoes.

I think that's enough P words for one day, don't you?

Kisses

I don't know if it's because tomorrow is Valentine's Day or what, but yesterday (according to my holiday website) was Hug Day and today is Kiss Day.  I thought I'd go see what I could find in the way of kiss shoes.  (Side note:  KISS shoes were NOT what I was looking for).

Aw...kiss gifts shaped like shoes.  Seems appropriate for Valentine's Day.

These are kind of cute, but I wouldn't actually wear them.

I think this is a shoe clip.  I like it better since I know it's removable.

That Zazzle  site has everything!  While I wouldn't wear the first pair, I would wear these.  Does that make me weird and wishy washy?

I also find these strangely cute.  Still wouldn't wear them, but I like them.

The puppy is adorable, but why is it a puppy on one shoe and kissy lips on the other?  Puppy kisses?

For all of you Disney fans out there.  Some smoochies for your Valentine's weekend!

Black, white, red, and polka dots.  Normally these combine to form shoes I  like, but not so much this time.

Happy Kiss Day!  I hope you were able to enjoy some kisses, whether of the lip or chocolate variety.

Memory lane:  2013 actually ties in with this post.  See if you can spot why! 2014. 2015.

3 Things.  This one is tough today as I have been cranky as all get out, but, here goes:
  1. A new blog post from a good friend.
  2. Kisses, whether of the hubby or puppy variety (sadly the chocolate variety was absent).
  3. Sunshine

Disney Shoes

A Facebook friend sent me a link yesterday to some shoes by Instagram user grizandnorm. They are remained Disney shoes, and they are are really cool. I Googled the artists and found a whole bunch more of the shoes. I've included a few,  but here is the link to the Google search if you want to see more.

How cool are these? Even the villains get awesome shoes!

Seesters

According to Facebook (which would never lie to me) and my list of holidays, today was Sister's Day.

See?  Anna and Elsa would never lie to me either.  It would be rude.

It turns out, I have a sister, and she's pretty fabulous.

This is us on the day of her 8th grade graduation.  I was in 1st grade.  Weren't we cute?

Here are our shoes on Easter in 2010.  Seester Easter feet!  I didn't even have a shoe blog then and she still took a shoe picture with me.  Because she is awesome.

In her honor, and in celebration of sisters everywhere, I leave you with this (make sure you check out their fab shoes):

Teeny Tiny

I'm being very domestic today:  dishes, laundry, packing, wrapping presents, hopefully crocheting.  I leave for the seester's this afternoon to spend a few days with them before Christmas.  It will be fun and I get to hang out with Flower and Laughter!

I wasn't sure if I was going to, but today I decided what the heck, I'll show you the tree in the bathroom:

It's a teeny tiny tree with no lights and teeny tiny ornaments.  It tends to stay decorated all of the time, and sometimes it just stays up all year.  I was trying to decide how to tie in teeny tiny shoes, but all I could find were Barbie shoes, and I didn't want to do those again.  As usual, though, the Pinterest Friend was reading my mind because she sent me 8 pins last night.

Teeny tiny crocheted shoe ornaments!  Aren't they adorable?

The rest are regular sized ornaments rather than teeny tiny, but hey, they're smaller than regular shoes, so I say it works.  SKD needs these for her tree.  Green AND flip flops!

These are really cool.  Apparently I need to learn to sew.

Disney ornaments!  Look at the Jasmine shoe, her hair is the heel.

Ooooh...sparkly!  Also, ankle strap and t-strap.  My kind of ornament.

See?  I need to invest in a sewing machine.

These aren't ornaments, but I thought it was really cute.  I should have had it for the jingle bell tree post.

Once again, thanks PF!

Hopefully I haven't shocked anyone too much with this early posting.  They happen occasionally.  Just chalk it up to a Christmas miracle.

Sadness

We had Chalupa and Tallulah neutered and spayed today.  They also got micro-chipped, got rabies shots, and each had a couple of teeth pulled.  Gotta love the SPCA, but now I have some saaaaad puppies wearing cones of shame.  Talullah is too miserable to even care about hers.  Chalupa is feeling a lot better, so he's more adventurous and keeps running into things with his cone.  Maybe tomorrow it will be cute and funny but tonight I am just too sad.  Tallulah is just so miserable.  She just whimpers and looks at me like, "WTF, mom?  Why do you hate me?"  I know she'll get better, but I can't deal with their pain.  I sat on the floor with Tallulah earlier tonight and cried with her.  And how I'm going to keep them separated for 7-10 days is beyond me.  Until today they had never been apart for more than 5 or 10 minutes since birth.  Tallulah is sleeping with us right now and Chalupa, instead of sleeping, was hyper and acting crazy so I put him in the other room.  He started scratching at our door.  Then he would run outside and scratch at the sliding door to our room.   He just kept repeating the pattern until I couldn't take it anymore and went out to sit with him.  Normally I would just chalk it up to bratty behavior, but tonight it just made me sad.  Thankfully he finally calmed down and now he is in bed with us too.  Yes, they are getting spoiled right now.  This is one of the reasons I have trouble being a pastor, too.  I can't seem to separate from the pain of others.  I soak it up like a sponge.  I'm starting to wonder if I shouldn't have children, it might just kill me.  I am a sad mama tonight who needs these shoes:

You know how I feel about matching my shoes to the occasion.  Poor, sad, puppy shoes.

I couldn't do more sad shoes, though, so I went with 101 Dalmatian shoes to cheer myself up.  I really hope this is a pair and not one shoe from each pair, because I love them mismatched like this.

I love these, too.  Happy puppies!

Happy baby shoes!

Happy puppy slippers!

Definitely Cruella shoes.  Of course, for her they would have to be made of actual Dalmatian hide and that just goes back to sad, so let's not think about that.

Why is there only one?  Is the other one the same, or different?  Why must they leave me in suspense?!

OK, I feel a little better.  Plus, I've had Dalmatian Plantation running through my head this whole time, so it's harder to be sad while singing.

Lady?

There are a million quizzes on Facebook right now.  Answer 10 or so questions and you can find out what color your aura is, or who you were in a past life, or what your real name or age is, and all kinds of silly things.  I took one recently that said I am 57% a lady, it even labeled me a "classy" lady.  Oooh, fancy!  But I also took one that said I'm 42% bitchy, so I'm a "balanced" bitch.  So that's 99%, what do you think my other 1% is?  And does that make me a classy bitch or a bitchy lady?

But "lady" just makes me think of Lady and the Tramp.  I'll never be as much of a lady as she is.  She was very classy.  So of course she's attracted to the bad boy.  And of course there are shoes.

Yep.  All cute.

Of course, the movie also has its share of bitchiness:

Definitely the definition of catty.  And I've been singing "we are Siamese if you please" all day.

Disney Shoes

Did you know that I have never been to Disneyland?  Disney World, either, for that matter, but I've only been to Florida once, whereas I've lived in California a total of almost 7 years now.  I'd like to go some day, but I have to admit it's not that high on my list.  There are other places I would rather go.  I know that this is absolute sacrilege to many of my friends who would prefer to live at Disney year-round, and to you I apologize for my lack of enthusiasm.  I do love Disney, though, especially Disney movies.  I watch them all, I own many of them.  Most them of them might make me laugh more than they should, but oh well...most of the humor is aimed at adults anyway.  For a nice, light post tonight, here are just a few of the many (millions?) of Disney shoes out there:

Clearly these are the shoes I should wear when I do make it to Disneyland.  How can you go wrong with Mickey and the castle?

These are hilarious.   Even the shape is funny to me, and just perfect for the subject.  Ursula won't be looking so evil and smug after I've stood on her face and she's had to smell my feet for awhile...

Love the colors, but these are actually just a little too busy for me.  I do love Beauty and the Beast, though.  I'd probably be Belle if I were a Disney princess, because of her love for books and her disdain for Gaston.  Not sure I'd have been kind and patient enough to fall in love with the Beast, though.

I like how these are just regular (well, actually rather fancy and floofy) shoes from the front, but from the back they have Rapunzel and...oh dear...whatshisname from Tangled.  And that he looks so delightfully disgruntled.

And these are just adorable.  It kills me that they even have a little tail. I would also wear these on my trip to Disneyland.  You know, for about 5 minutes at the very beginning before all of the major walking kicks in and I can't stand to wear heels any longer.

Yay Disney!
